Winny yue
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Z-Lab. I completed my Ph.D. at The University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Dr. Xiaoqing Hu, where I studied human time perception using EEG. My current research explores the elasticity of subjective time, why time flies during a party but drags while waiting for someone, and its underlying neural mechanism. I am also interested in how we learn abstract concepts and how generalization is done in daily life. My goal is to translate these insights into new interventions for emotional disorders and neurodegenerative diseases, where time perception is frequently distorted.
